Welcome to the Forge Room!  Here you can make weapons for food!  You must write what materials you used and how you went about constructing your weapon.  This will give you 5 food.  If you include a picture you will get 10 food!  Send your ideas to Tammo.

Bow and Arrows-Sashilia
From my experience at archery I created a bow and matching arrows, fit for the best.  I searched for days to find the perfect sapling, strong and springy, and carved a smooth rod out of it.  Then I strung a temporary line from one tip to the other, and tightened them till the bow bent to the right size.  Then I let it dry partially, but not too much.  Just before it was thoroughly dried I removed the string.  The bow bounced back into almost it's original shape, but I knew it would bend just enough when I was putting on the real string.  I made a notch at either end of the bow to hold the string later.  Before I added the string, though, I carved some lovely designs on the center of the bow, as well as my name at one of the tips.  Then the final touch, I added a strong thread that I had made specially out of certain hares and plants.  The bow was then completed, at least.  Then I searched the shore for the stones that I knew would chip when I struck it, not collapse.  Using strong rocks that couldn't break, I cut the stones into the proper size and shape, each with a sharp tip and a small notch at the bottom.  Then I found some firm and slender branches which I whittled into straght sticks, and put yet another two notches at the top in each.  Using a little of the extra line from the bow, I attached the tips to the sticks.  I carved a smaller version of the design on the bow into the wood, but didn't put my name.  The design would show they went with the bow.  I borrowed a few feathers from some of the local birds, and making even more small notches, fastened them with string to the opposite end of the arrow from the stone tips.  Finally, my work was done.!

An account of how I fashioned my long sword;  By Lacroon the Gallant.
Many years ago, when I roamed the lands of Mossflower, I came across a weasel dead on the ground.  Examining it, I found that it carried a sword with a hilt plated with gold, and studded with ruby and emerald stones.  The blade was scarred and scratched, having seen better days, but I knew that a sword such as this must have come from the great Forge of Salamandastron.  Thus, I trekked to the mountain and found Lord Russano, the Badger Lord.  He told me that this blade truly was the sword of a mighty warrior, Rockshine the Wanderer.  He agreed to give it a new blade and sent days fashioning a deadly iron blade for it.  In exchange, I agreed to return one day to join his Long Patrol, one I finished my travels.  When I finally did return to join the ranks, Russano had passed on, leaving Lord Tammo in his place.  But the mighty weapon still stays with me, in rememberance of the badger.
Account on how I aquired my weapons-By Swordbane
During my wandering in Mossflower Woods, I was attacked repeatedly by wandering vermin, and my only means of defense was my oak walking stick. After several battles, I became very proficient with a staff. I could disarm just about every weasle, rat, stoat, and ferret that came along. But the groups that attacked me got larger and larger, until I needed a weapon that could kill its target. I searched for many weeks, until one night, I came upon a rat and a weasel sitting around a campfire. The rat had a rusty looking sword in an old beaten case strapped to his back, and the weasle possesed a large dagger. I stealthily snuck up a nearby tree, and positioning myself directly above them, leaped down and struck the weasle a terrifying blow to the head, which nocked him unconcious. I then twirled around and hit the surprised rat in the chest with my staff, then spun it and hit him on the side of the head, throwing him off the log he was sitting on. He struggled to his paws, snarled t me, and drew his sword. He advanced slowly  saying:
"I'm going to carve your guts out with me sword!"
Wordlessly I knocked the sword from his paw and proceeded to render him unconcious.
Removing his sword, I examined it. The scabbard was torn, and the leather was fraying. It looked ready to fall apart. The sword blade was rusty and chipped. The handle looked like it had seen better days. But the sword had promise. With a little repair, it could become an awesome weapon. When I joined the Long Patrol, Lord Tammo re-made the blade, turning it into a sword to be respected, with a beaten blade, that will never grow dull. Then Lord Tammo also fashioned me a metal staff, whose ends were sharpened into points.
