My tribute in art for forbidden love...

Little things. Things no one else knows about us, or things we don't even know ourselves. But things, that define us as whole. Hidden meanings are often the ones that tell the most about us. Generally they are kept as secrets, as something to be ashamed of. But they are not. They are the real you. Secret Garden..a place to cherish the hidden truth of you. To be yourself. Friendship, loyalty and love In Buffyverse, jewellery has a very special meaning between the characters and their relations. Like the claddaugh-ring, which carries a big meaning in the whole theme. Or the cross Angel gave Buffy. The symbol of Christian religion and the symbol of anti-evil. The samples of these jewelleries (in the left) both carry the claddaugh-symbol: two hands holding a heart with a crown on top. Ring and cross. It's interesting, how jewellery is used in BtVS. Pieces of jewellery act almost as big of a part as anyone of the human characters. They are almost individuals. And Buffy's jewelleries definitely are ones! But they are not as obvious as one might think. They have secrets, just like us humans. They have their own nature and attitude. They have a history and lots of hidden meanings. Their symbolic appearance tells not just of great artistic vision, but as well of their uniqué belonging in this world. What they represent, is important. To me, these two represent all the things good and pure, but also all the things protective and strong. And yet, they have their dark sides too. Many of the interesting things are a bit dark, denied or forbidden. Curiosity rises from them and makes us wonder. Dreams are also a lot like that. They don't always make sense and leave us wondering their true meaning. Meaning. That is what we seek from this universe all the time. Meaning, whether it's our own or anything else's. Meaning for...whatever it is we wonder about. We want ourselves to have a meaning in this world. We want to have a purpose. We crave to find out, we yearn to know. But we won't, in most cases. World is clever with it's secrets... We all have our little secret gardens. We all have secrets we don't want others to find out. And that is okay. Everyone is allowed to have their own little land, where all the secrets may live and be. Where we can be free from ourselves, and therefore become better as persons. This is one of my secret gardens, the secrets of the ring and the cross, as well as the temptation of forbidden love. What yours is, no one else knows, but you.
