My favorite router is made by ELU which was purchased by the Black & Decker Company. They now market the ELU routers under the name of DeWalt Industrial Tools.
This router comes with an adapter to use the Porter Cable style guide bushings. A 1/4" collet, a very good edge guide and a fine height adjustment screw are purchased separately.
I also use the Porter Cable Model 7336 6" Variable Speed Random Orbit Sander. This sander uses 3.7 Amps. It has an Electronic variable speed dial running from 2500 to 6000 Orbits Per Minute, and produces a Random, swirl-free sanding action.
I especially like to use my Bosch jig saw with the barrel grip. It seems as if the saw is an extension of my right arm. The variable speed makes it easy to slow down or speed up the saws action on the wood, and it has a feature which lets you select the rate at which the blade bites into the stock.
