This Egg Crate fixture is used to assemble the doors that are made in My Shop. The table is constructed of  1 x 4 and 1 x 6  pine lumber. The fixture was designed to knock down when not in use.  Joinery consists of lap joints cut into the edges of the lumber.  The cross pieces feature a notch, into which an 8 foot long pipe clamp can be placed to draw the center styles and rails into position when gluing the door pieces together.

The picture on the right shows one end of the triangular fixture I use to hold a door while spraying the finish.  The fixture was made from construction grade redwood.  I was able to cut around all but one of the knots in the stock I had on hand when this fixture was made.

This fixture is also designed to knock down when not in use.  It is held together by three bolts on the opposite side of the triangle. By mounting this fixture on casters, I am able to position and move heavy doors with ease.
