Matt is one of my favorite digidestined. He cares much for his half brother TK. Since his parents got divorced, Matt has kept to himself, wondered if his parents didn't want him, and swore that he would never cry. When TK is with him Matt considers TK as his responsibility. At one point Matt thinks that everyone hates him and later he realizes that everyone really likes him afterall and it was just in his head. All the before mentioned thoughts change and he becomes a new person. The only reason he fights with Tai sometimes is because he wants to take care of TK. One time he fights because he doesn't understand why he has the crest of friendship. He thinks he doesn't act like a friend, or lost the quality of friendship, but he was wrong. He had the quality of friendship all the time. He just doubted himself. He helps the team out dramaticly many times by giving power to Metalgarurumon. He even enlightens Izzy and the rest of the group at the end, that his strength in friendship isn't just with in him alone, but is shared though each of them...and that goes for each of their crests. Perhaps they never would have come back without Matt, staying 0s and 1s forever. Matt Ishida truely helped save the world. In season 2 he becomes a fabulous singer in a rock group. As Tai said in episode one, Matt " is too cool."
