My agenda

I'm trying to learn to serve Baha'u'llah's purposes, in accordance with His prescriptions, as a way of learning to know and love God. For me that includes learning to serve the interests of my House of Justice. I say "my" House of Justice because what I call "The Universal House of Justice" is very different from what I've seen some people calling by that name in the dialogue/Talisman chronicles. By "interests of my House of Justice" I mean interests that I see explicitly stated in messages which I imagine have been written by my House of Justice or on its behalf, and circulated with its approval.

It's possible for the interests of my House of Justice to be very different from the interests of its members, or even diametrically opposed to them.

Here are some current interests of my House of Justice:

All that is part of my agenda. For me, another part of serving Baha'u'llah's purposes is working with abused and marginalized people.

Part of my response to Talisman liberals has been to see what I could learn from them, and look for ways to serve their interests. That has increased my interest in addressing Baha'i social issues, especially popular forms of psychological abuse, and improving the integrity of Baha'i institutions. I'm also interested in helping to counteract stereotyping and depreciation of Talisman liberals.

Part of my response to people I saw contending with Talisman liberals has been to see what I could learn from them, and look for ways to serve their interests. That has increased my awareness of all my heritages, including my Baha'i heritage, and my appreciation for them. I've also developed an interest in promoting more love for Baha'u'llah and for the interests of His House of Justice among Baha'is; an interest in helping to counteract the confusing, distracting and demoralizing effects of contention around the name of the House of Justice; and an interest in refuting arguments against following Baha'u'llah and against serving the interests of the House of Justice.

Another part of my agenda is an interest in promoting more trust in Baha'u'llah among Baha'is, and more awareness of our responsibilities associated with independent investigation of reality. There's a story behind that in the appendix "A new wind."
