Season II was always planned to begin at the same time as the 1999/2000 Premiership Season, but reality took over, and traveling back to New Zealand, (not to mention having the computer in transit for almost 4 months), meant that again, the League would start in January.

Fears of low numbers were extinguished pretty early on, and despite hoping for, (and this time catering for), 100 players, I again had around 50 for the League.  But Y2K was only days away at the stage that the League was beginning, and like many other millions, I was very relieved when the emails kept coming in for predictions for Week 1.

At the end of Season I a survey was sent out to all players, and there were a series of questions regarding what players wanted from the League.  I was surprised by the level of support for the League to be split in divisions, and also most players wanted more points for predicting the number of goals scored.

Both of these features were implemented, and I feel have improved the League.  Another feature introduced to Season II was the Champions League.  In my opinion there had to be a part of the League that was for those how had obtained success the previous season, and this seemed like a good choice.
