Skyline: The light at the top of the Space Needle flashes.

Plot: Frasier and Bulldog both take part in a bachelor charity "auction", in which women "buy" their dates for a night. Frasier's date will receive a "well prepared meal", whilst Bulldog thinks that is "Boring!!! My date will receive a stretch limo, a dinner and floor seats for the Seattle Sonics!!!". Frasier is "bought" for $500 by a model, Kristina Harper, whilst Bulldog only gets $100 - from Daphne!!!

When Kristina arrives at Frasier's place, she says she has a photo shoot - could Frasier look after her daughter Renata until she gets back? Frasier agrees, but once her mother has gone Renata tells Frasier the truth about Kristina - how she abandons her whenever possible, how she's been telling people Renata is 9 for the past 3 years so they don't think she's too old for a model etc. Frasier is horrified and when Kristina comes back he confronts her with this. Trouble is, Renata may have told a few lies.....

Meanwhile Daphne's date with Bulldog is going well. Daphne is drunk and abuses another driver. Unfortunately for Bulldog, the driver holds him responsible.

Subtitles: A Chump Off The Old Block; Going Once...; Going Twice...; Gone; Shrink Rap; Driving Miss Daphne.

It's Maris!!!: Maris is scared of flying ever since the day she was bumped down from first class. She still has nightmares about it.

Roz loves..... T J Smith, whom Roz "bought" at a charity auction.

Martin knows..... Joe Linski, who runs the Widows & Orphans Fund.

Where Everybody Knows Your Name: Mention of Frederick.

Trivia: Maris is in Chicago where she will remain for the next few episodes. Frasier writer Ken Levine has an unaccredited role as the Announcer, and Anne Flett-Giordano starts writing under her double barrelled name. Presumably she got married to a Mr Giordano...
