Skyline: Nothing happens.Plot: Frasier is feeling a bit under the weather one day at work. Gil Chesterton comes in and after asking if he's OK offers to fill in for him. Frasier says no thank you - he tells Roz once Gil has gone that when Gil filled in for Bonnie Weems he proved so popular that she was moved to the early hours!!! Next day Frasier feels even worse and realises he must take the day off. Gil fills in for him and listening at home, Frasier thinks that Gil is doing such a wonderful job that he is bound to take over Frasier's timeslot. A phonecall from Roz saying that Gil has been talking to the station manager about having the timeslot doesn't help much, so Frasier persuades Niles to fill in for him, convinced that his little brother can't do a better job than he can. But when Niles manages to help a lot of people and fixes himself as the master of the airwaves, Frasier wonders if he made the right choice. Under the influence of pills, he heads down to the radio station to get his show back once and for all... Meanwhile, as Daphne takes care of poor, sick Frasier (and tries very hard not to get annoyed with him!), Martin tries to remember the times when he was really ill. Subtitles: Spring Is In The Air; Frasier Crane's Day Off; I Go To Pieces; Radio Daze. Trivia: First appearance of Gil Chesterton, mentions of Bonnie Weems and Hester Crane, first mention of Marta. This is also the first time Niles fills in for his brother on the radio show - he does it again in the fourth season. |
