Skyline: The lift travels up the Seattle Space Needle.Plot: It has been one year since Frasier moved back to Seattle from Boston, and he and Niles meet up for coffee in Café Nervosa, where they remain for the rest of the episode. Niles asks Frasier whether he has been happy in the past year. The brothers' discussion covers topics such as homosexuality, shoes, sex with Roz, German food, Daphne, Martin and coffee. Martin enters the café in a bad mood. Everyone has forgotten his birthday and of course he has been unable to say anything about it. He thinks maybe it is time for him to move out of Frasier's apartment and find a place of his own. But once he has gone, Frasier and Niles talk about their relationship with their dad and how much it has improved since Martin went to live with Frasier. Roz arrives later on and thinks she's found Mr Right - again. But her boyfriend tried to convert her to Christianity, which she was horrified by. This is because she embraces men of all faiths. She later goes home to try and seduce her handyman by ripping out her taps. Meanwhile the Waitress is becoming frustrated by Frasier's ever-continuing fussy complaints about his coffee..... Subtitles: My Coffee With Niles. It's Maris!!!: Maris had to phone Niles for directions after she accidentally wondered into the kitchen by mistake. Roz loves..... Andy Wimslow, a KACL News employee who tried to convert Roz to Christianity. Roz goes home and tries to attract her handyman's attentions by wearing a negligee and tearing out her taps!!! Where Everybody Knows Your Name: Mention of Frederick, and mentions of Boston as it's 1 year since Frasier left it. Trivia: This episode is set in real time - in other words, it is 22 minutes of the Cranes sitting and talking. There are no other scenes, it is just one long continuous scene. Mention of Yoshi. We also see the exterior of Café Nervosa for the first time. A few days before this episode it was Martin's 62nd birthday, plus there are a lot of references to the first episode. |
