Skyline: Fireworks explode over the skyline.

Plot: A new book, Slow Tango In South Seattle, has gone on sale and the females of the city, such as Daphne, Roz and Maris, have gone crazy over it. Frasier knows the author, Thomas Jay Fallow from his Cheers days, but can't see the point in this romantic novel or anything similar. Until, that is, he discovers the story is based on his affair with his music teacher, Clarice Warner, when he was 17.

Frasier is cross that his name isn't on the Acknowledgements list. After Niles thinks that the source of this discomfort is due to some unfinished business with Clarice. Frasier thinks this might be the case and tries to find her to say sorry for just walking out on her.

When he arrives at Clarice's house, Frasier meets her mother. Thinking she is Clarice, he seems surprised when naturally, she can't remember the affair. But Frasier isn't too pleased when he finds out he's got the wrong woman - and then Clarice walks through the door.....

Subtitles: Slow Tango In South Seattle; He Was Not Yet A Man Yet Oh So Much More Than A Boy; The Tears It Takes A Summer Wind To Dry; I Feel Older Since His Shadow Left My Door.

It's Maris!!!: Niles gives Martin a picture of Maris wearing jodhpurs. But her quadrupeds are so tight, she "can't ride anything bigger than a Border Collie." The book is affecting Maris too - Niles saw her cooing over the student who tends to the pond.

Roz loves..... Thomas Jay Fallow whom Roz is very eager to meet.

Where Everybody Knows Your Name: Mentions of Lilith and Frederick. Thomas Jay Fallow also visited the Cheers bar, where a drunken Frasier told him the story of his first time.

Trivia: This is the only episode written by Martin Weiss, and the first episode with fireworks in the skyline. After Clarice, Frasier didn't have sex for 6 1/2 years. And Bulldog's first time was with a prostitute - paid for by his father.
