Skyline: A helicopter appears over the city.

Plot: The Cranes are awoken in the night by the smoke alarm. It turns out that Daphne was smoking - something she only does when she's feeling low and depressed - this time about her love life. Frasier talks with her for so long that he oversleeps and misses a meeting with the new station manager, Tom Duran.

When Tom and Frasier finally meet the next day, Frasier invites him over to secretly fix him up with Daphne. However Roz finds out that Tom is gay and thinks Frasier is asking him out. Roz though does not tell Frasier this as she is till mad at him after an argument about her morals.

Saturday night arrives and Tom shows up, thinking he is on a date with Frasier. But with Frasier trying to set him up with Daphne, and Tom thinking Frasier, and later Niles too, are gay, confusion and misunderstandings reign in this hilarious episode.

Subtitles: Manhunt; The Perils Of Refinement.

It's Maris!!!: Once everything is sorted out, Tom is confused - this "Maris guy" Niles keeps mentioning is a woman? "The jury's still out on that one," Frasier replies.

Roz loves..... Sven Bokman, an aerobics instructor; Gunther Deitrich, a model; and a tennis instructor named Brick. All are in Roz's little black book when she offers to set one of them up with Daphne.

Where Everybody Knows Your Name: Mentions of Lilith, and indirectly, Diane Chambers.

Trivia: This is the first episode written by Joe Keenan and the first episode with the helicopter skyline. First appearance of Tom Duran. First episode where Daphne smokes - she does it again in "Where There's Smoke There's Fired".
