Skyline: Nothing happens.Plot: Martin has recently become obsessed - again - with the Weeping Lotus Case, a case he never managed to solve and promised the victim's mother he would. Nothing will distract him, not even a basketball game Frasier and Niles take him to. When they return, Martin tries to solve it again. After he goes to bed, Daphne fills them in on the details (click here to see them). Frasier studies the photographs and then wonders - what if Clive Brisbane, the monkey trainer, sent a monkey to do the dirty work? Frasier rearranges the photos so that Martin wakes up next morning he will come to the same conclusion. Next morning, Martin goes down to the police station - he's solved it. He returns downcast though - no-one believed him. Frasier feels awful and confesses his part. Martin thanks him for his help. Just then Martin's friends come in. Martin was right - the killer confessed. Martin says that Frasier helped him and asks Frasier to tell them how he managed it. But when Frasier starts talking about the monkey, he receives a lot of strange looks..... Subtitles: Retirement Is Murder; Strangers In A Strange Land; Use A Monkey; Go To Jail. Martin knows..... his friends who come to the apartment to celebrate him solving the "Weeping Lotus" case. Trivia: This is the first episode written by Elias Davis and David Pollock, and the only episode directed by Alan Myerson. Mention of the Weeping Lotus Case as it is finally solved. Mary Steenburgen (Marjorie) is the wife of Ted Danson, who played Sam Malone in Cheers and Frasier. Only episode this season where no animation happens in the skyline. And Bulldog meets Niles for the first time. |
