Skyline: Lights go on in the skyscrapers.

Plot: It's Martin's birthday and there is a party for him, which Frasier is looking forward to. At the end of their show, Roz tells Frasier that it is her family reunion and she can't go. Frasier invites her over to Martin's party to cheer her up.

But at chez Crane, it is far from cheery. Daphne and Martin have quarrelled about his exercises and she is thinking of moving out. Niles is cross with Frasier - earlier one of his patients, Caroline phoned in to Frasier's show saying she wasn't happy with her therapist. Frasier had advised her to change therapists.

And then things get worse - the whole of Seattle is hit by a powercut. Once they manage to get some light in the apartment, Frasier tries to get everyone to make up. He has had a long week and is tired. Frasier suggests playing "I'm the dullest person", in which everyone has to say something they haven't done. If someone else has done that, they have to give the other person a penny. Will this help out?

Meanwhile Eddie has got his head stuck in an ice cream tub.....

Subtitles: What If He Had Taken A Really Big Breath?; There Is Nothing Wrong With Your Televisions (It's A Blackout).

It's Maris!!!: Maris once had to be drawn out from under her bed by the promise of a Prozac after one particularly loud thunderstorm.

Roz loves..... The guys whom she had sex in an aeroplane, a lift, a phone box and on a merry-go-round

Trivia: Martin celebrates his first on-screen birthday here, which seems to be in May or June. He is turning 63. First of the regular "Thanks for Calling" lists over the credits (they appear on the season finale for Seasons 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 10 and 11).
