Plot: Frasier has bought Roz a gift, but she doesn't like it much. That, and she's having wild mood swings due to her pregnancy. So Frasier takes it back to the shop, where he meets Sam Pearce, a lawyer. She helps Frasier return the item (it was a sale item - not eligible for a refund normally) and they go out on a date.
Before the date, Niles arrives and is horrified about Frasier's date. He's taking Martin to a tractor pull and was counting on Frasier being there too. Frasier sorts this out by giving his ticket to Daphne and goes on his date. They return to Frasier's apartment and Sam stays the night.
Frasier's family think he's being the traditional "female" in the relationship because he's cooking for Sam whilst she's at work. Frasier thinks this is rubbish at first, but later when Sam takes him to a lawyer's ball, he finds out the lawyer's wives often feel the same way he does!!! So Frasier decides to have a talk with Sam.....

It's Maris!!!.....The Dominions: Martin says that the Crane men never let women dominate them, then looks at Niles - he's implying at Maris. Niles just says, "Poor Uncle Frank".
Roz loves.....the wicker furniture salesman who fled when he found out she was pregnant.
