Plot: Frasier and Sam have returned from a ski weekend, and he's met lots of famous people. Niles doesn't really want to know, but Frasier takes great pleasure in naming who he's met.
Later, at dinner, Sam tells Frasier it's over. She says it's not his fault, but she thinks it just won't work. Frasier doesn't think this though, and thinks that it was his fault. What was wrong with him that made Sam break up with him?
A few nights later, Roz arrives to take Daphne to the cinema, and Frasier asks everyone to tell him what's wrong with him. It's a long list!!! :-) Frasier then replays all the messages he's sent to Sam (he knows her answering machine code) and everyone agrees - they're pretty pathetic. Frasier erases them - including an important one from Sam's secretary by mistake.
Frasier goes to find Sam to give her the message, but it turns out she knows. She's heard the messages and wants to make another go of things. But Frasier can't stop thinking about something Niles said - that he's only with Sam because of her celebrity connections.....
Subtitles: No, It's You; If It's Barbra I'll Kill Myself.
Roz loves..... Steve Wilson, whom Roz believed she would marry and therefore had his name tattooed on her butt.
Trivia: Final appearances of Sam Pearce and the Cafe Nervosa Waiter, and first appearance of Amy Landers' waitress. Sam and Frasier met Meg Ryan, Jack Nicholson, Puff Daddy, Lesley Stahl (a reporter) and General "Storming" Norman Schwartzkopf. If he went to London with her he'd have met Sir Alec Guiness too. Mentions of
Bulldog, Gil, Miss Judy from Arts and Crafts (her first mention) and Duke too.Read the script of this episode at
