Plot: Frasier is talking to Roz in Café Nervosa when in walks Lorna, the prom queen from his high school. Frasier has always had a crush on her and Roz dares him to ask her out. She says hello, but Frasier doesn't have the guts to ask her out. Instead he pretends he's selling his apartment and asks her to come and look at it.

When Lorna arrives, Frasier tells her the truth, and she agrees to go out with him. Their old high school coach's retirement party is soon and Frasier is looking forwards to going there with Lorna. He wants to show them he can get beautiful girlfriends. Lorna stays the night.

Next morning, she starts smoking and is shouting down her mobile phone to her children who are misbehaving. These are sides to Lorna Frasier doesn't particularly want to see, and he wonders whether their relationship will work or not. But then if he does dump her, he won't be able to take her to the coach's party.....

Meanwhile Daphne is acting rather strangely towards Niles, and he begins to think she may have feelings for him.

It's Maris!!!.....Decent Proposal: The day after Niles proposed to Maris, they went to the opera. Niles was so nervous he was convinced the lead was winking at him all night.

Roz loves..... The guy who belongs to a book club.

Trivia: Marshall Coben, who plays Roz's date here, is in real life the husband of Jane Leeves (Daphne). Mention of Mel. First appearance of Lorna (she becomes Lana in her later appearances - Ep 185 "Semi-Decent Proposal/A Passing Fancy") and possibly an indirect mention of Kirby - Lana tells one of her kids to put their brother on the 'phone.
