Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Aura by Second Verse. Spike/Xander. Set after the series, Xander is felled by a series of migraines that seem incurable, wrecking havoc on his life. Incomplete but still and interesting read.

A Bargain at Any Price by Racing Stripes. Spike/Xander. Veiled Graphic Content. Xander's a half-vampire sired by Dracula, who's just shown up for his yearly paternal visit with vampire hunter from Van Hellsing's line trailing him. A game of darts ensues, leaving Dracula heavily in debt to Spike. Dracula then proceeds to trade Sire rights to Xander to Spike in payment of the debt. A wonderful story, just hasn't been updated in over a year.

Behind the Masks by Amejisuto. Spike/Xander. Spike and Xander find each other at a moment when their respective love lives have them down. Conversation brings the pair to a sort of amicable truce. Well written and interesting. Worth reading.

Billboards by LadyCat. Spike/Xander. Buffy reflects on Spike and Xander's relationship after coming back from the dead. Highly recommended.

Birthday Blues by Darkhavens. Spike/Xander. Xander's moping on Jesse's birthday and Spike's trying to figure out what has the boy down. A very well written piece. Good characterization and good flow to the story. The characters have and actual meaningful conversation as they move into the vague relationship that's forming between them. A nice, romantic-ish piece. Highly recommended.

Blurt, Speech, and I Took a Step and There conclusions Were by Grace Device. Spike/Xander. Xander blurts his feelings and Spike doesn't know how to react. A few misunderstandings later and Spike's desperately trying to sort things out. Very cute story. Worth reading. Also unfinished but it leaves off at a lingering point so not that big of a deal.

Cheers by Suki Blue. Spike/Xander. The pair drink a toast to the changes made in their lives over the past year. A fairly interesting take on events. Short but definitely worth reading.

Choices by Lariawien. Spike/Xander. Spike finds Xander dying in an alley and turns him to save him. Xander has issues, both with his new demonic nature and his blossoming attraction to Spike. Story trails off without finishing, hasn't been updated in a while.

Contemplating by Aonikoi Liikin. Spike/Xander. Xander asks Spike what he'd take as a momento if he ever killed Buffy. A short but wonderful piece. Highly Recommended.

Convergence by Erin. Spike/Xander. Changes at the end of the series lead Xander to seek out the only pseudo-friend who doesn't regard him with pity, namely Spike. A well done piece. Good development and characterization. The prose flows nicely, a sort of rambling directness that fits Xander's point of view. I love the closeness that develops between the two, very natural and not at all contrived (which is somewhat common for Spike/Xander fics). They develop a relationship that I could very much see happening in the actual series, towards the end when they've both grown and mellowed. A beautiful piece. Very much worth reading.

Dead Sunflower by Sepentium. Xander's locked in a mental institution after Buffy, Willow, Giles, and Anya die. A very interesting piece with some good strong imagery.

Dimensionally Challenged by Amy Wings. Spike/Xander/Peter Parker. Graphic Content. Willow and Giles mistakenly summon Spiderman into the Buffy the Vampire Slayer universe. Damn good smut with threesome action ensues. Highly, highly recommended.

Drabbles by darkhavens. Spike/Xander. Rather than listing each set seperately, I'm just gonna post a link straight to the archive for all the drabble sets darkhavens has done. They're all quite good. Short, but captivating and incredibly true to character. Particular favorites are Coupled, From the Outside In, and Talking it Out. Highly Recommeneded.

*New 10/9* A Dru-some Lullaby by Darkhavens. Spike/Xander. A hilariously funny and gruesome lullaby. Highly recommended.

Facing Fear by Suki Blue. Spike/Xander. While out patrolling demons, Xander meets a rather nasty poisoned bush. Spike spazzes while trying to keep Xander alive long enough for Willow to fix him. Completed. Highly Recommended.

From Out of Nowhere by Suki Blue. Spike/Xander. Graphic Content. Xander feels down about himself, thinking he's not a valuable member of the Scoobie gang. After Spike rescues him from a demon, the two develop a closer relationship, which is interrupted when Spike's grand-sire comes to town muttering about how vampires must be pure. Very well written story, with good plot. The characterization, however, is a problem as the writer portrays the two men's relationship in... well, far too girly ways. A recommended read, nonetheless.

George by Ladycat. Spike/Xander. Xander's cat is very particular about the guys Xander hangs around with, leaving Xander with a string of broken relationships until Spike and the cat come to an understanding. Highly Recommended.

The Gift of Christmas by Suki Blue. Graphic Content. Spike/Xander. Xander gets thrown out of his house the week before Christmas and Spike takes it upon himself to make sure Xander has the best Christmas ever. An uber-adorable story, with much Christmas cheer. Very cute and highly worth reading. Very Highly Recommended.

The Gift That Keeps on Giving by darkhavens. Spike/Xander. This is my absolute favorite set of drabbles by Darkhavens, and ranks very high among my favorite Spike/Xander stories over. I absolutely love the story painted in this series. (I would bloody kill for a full expanded prose version.) The series tells about a series of gifts, starting with Angel giving Xander to Spike on the Parent-Teacher night. An absolutely wonderful series that is highly worth reading.

Giving it up by liliaeth. Xander talks Spike into quitting. Short and amusing.

The Golden Wren by Tabaqui. Spike/Xander. Graphic Content. Some mojo from a scroll forces Xander on a quest for a Golden Wren, with Spike sent along as his helper. Very well written, cute with a nice epic fairy-tale style. Good plot and an interesting story line. Characters are quite amusing, Very much worth reading.

Grungefic by darkhavens. Spike/Xander. AU world where Xander meets Spike in the second season before Angelus shows up. Spike takes the poor, hurting Xander on as a pet. Dark themes and very well written. Highly Recommended, though the story's still in progress.

*New 10/9* Hot in the City by Darkhavens. Spike/Xander. Graphic Content. Spike and Xander head out for a wild night on the town, and Xander picks up and admirer. Very hot, a wonderfully kinky read. Highly, highly recommended.

I Hate [Everything About You] (may need to login to yahoo for access) by Faith Harris. Spike/Xander. Well written piece. Spike and Xander hate each other. They both know it. Where do they go from there?

I Love You Means by Becka. Spike/Xander, Faith/Xander, Cordelia/Xander. Xander's twisted thoughts on what the words 'I love you' mean to him. Fairly dark fic, deals with childhood abuse and self-mutilation, but an interesting read. Writing's a little bare but the storyline keeps it interesting.

In the Name of Entertainment by Clockstopper. Spike/Xander. Graphic Content. Spike convinces Xander to raid his parent's liquor cabinet and get drunk after a bad day. Sex ensues. Writing's not half bad. It's a mostly interesting read. Recommended.

Last Words by Imasisara. Spike/Xander. Xander tries to kill himself after Anya leaves him. Interesting story but it doesn't go anywhere. No real resolution.

Letters to Cordy by Imasisara. Spike/Xander. Xander writes a series of letters to Cordelia about his relationship with Spike. Second part's more developed than the first. Both are good, short pieces. Low on the smut.

The Long Way Home by darkhavens. Spike/Xander. Series of four drabbles featuring a road trip to declare Spike and Xander's relationship. Highly Recommended.

Loserville by shrift. Spike/Xander. Graphic Content. Xander's life takes an unexpected turn when a confrontation at the Bronze makes him realize he's gay. Extremelly well done with some absolutely fabulous lines. Very well written. The characterization is wonderfully accurate and the story progresses realistically. A truely wonderful piece.

Love's Bitch by ShoSen. Spike-centered fic dealing with his relations with women. He swears to himself 'no more women'. Very amusing ending. A good read.

Magic Moments by Suki Blue. Spike/Xander. Warning: MPREG. A strange encounter with a cracked demon leaves Xander pregnant with Spike's child. An interesting read if a bit silly. Recommended.

Manchild by Becka. Spike/Xander. Spike tells Angel why he likes Xander. Very sweet and touching. Wonderful characterization. Very excellent writing. Highly Recommended.

Mister Cellophane by Amejisuto. Spike/Xander. Graphic Content. Strange things are happening around the Scooby group and Spike's getting the blame. A talk with Joyce leads him to believe that it's really Xander messing things up, even though the boy hasn't been seen for over a year. Turns out that Xander ended up invisible, ala Marcie, and has been hanging around the group still, unable to talk to do anything other than move things around. Spike slowly coaxes Xander out of his shell, teaching the boy how to talk again. A very well done piece. While the characters are a little off from what they are in the series, with the girls and Giles being painted as cold and uncaring friends who are somewhat abusive and have completely forgotten their old friend, the interaction between Spike and Xander is interestingly portrayed. Not overly sappy. Highly Recommended.

The Moment of True Happiness by Cricketpoor. Angelus/Xander. Angel's changed and finds his attention not on the Slayer but her follower. An interesting Angelus-perspective piece. Short but well written. Worth reading.

*New 10/9* Nexus and Caritas by Raksha. Angelus/Xander, Angelus/Drusilla, Angelus/Spike, Spike/Xander, Xander/Angel... yeah, there's a lot of sex. Graphic Content, Graphic Violence. Angelus is loose and he wants to play with none other than our dear old Xander, leaving Drusilla and Spike without his attentions for a while. This piece is H.O.T. with some gloriously dirty lines. A wonderfully kinky romp down vampire-sex lane. Could have done without the Angelus/Dru, but it fit with the piece. Very long, but oh gods is it worth it. The kink! The smex! Oh, gods! *melts* Highly, highly recommended.

*New 10/3* Not Worth It by Nash. Lindsey/Xander, hints at Angel/Xander. Xander's boyfriend turns out to be more than he expected. An excellent piece. The back-and-forth writing style works really well with it. Story tells just enough to get the point across elegantly. A highly recommended story.

One Stormy Night by Joolz. Spike/Xander. Graphic Content. PWP. Spike and Xander are caught out on patrol when a hard rainstorm hits. They take shelter in an abandoned cottage. From here it goes into the somewhat cliché setting of molestation though the act itself is far from cliché and quite satisfyingly smutty. The fic gets bonus points for creative use of silk, nipple rings and Christmas tree lights. A very sensuous piece, well written with good imagery. Boys are a touch out of character but that tends to be the norm for S/X pieces. Highly recommended.

Out Loud by darkhavens. Spike/Xander. A cute series of three drabbles about the pair's relationship. Short and sweet.

Peaches and Pork Chops by nongenius. Angel and Xander friendship gen. The boys end up at a diner, talking about the end of Sunnydale. Spoilers for the end of the series. Cute character development.

A Place Called Home by Green and LadyCat. Spike/Xander. Xander crushes on Spike and, somewhat randomly, decides that he should move in with Spike for a couple days while his apartment is being "fumigated". Bonding and drunken cuddling ensues. Fic shows the boys decently well characterized. Strongly written, with an interesting semi-plot line that keeps the reader engrosed until the final word. A very good story, highly recommended.

Rising from the Ashes by Aonikoi Liikin. Spike/Xander. Xander's followed home by a group of thugs. He's raped, Anya's beaten to death and Xander's left in the hospital thinking about how things have changed. Heavy angst and violence. Characters are a little too impulsive and juvenile in their actions. Somewhat interesting of a story but the overall feel is a little off. In-Progress work.

*New 10/3* Ruby Raindrops and Burgundy Secrets by chocgood84. Spike/Xander. Graphic Content. Buffy is less than supportive when Xander comes out to the group about his relationship with Spike, so Spike takes him someplace special to make up for it. Nice, complex characterizations mixed with a lovely amount of smut. The emotion in the piece is riveting. Highly recommended.

Rules of Life by Jenny. Graphic Content. Spike/Xander, Xander/Spike, OC/Xander. Contains Daddy/boy kink and a bit of bloodplay. Xander's roadtrip outside Sunnydale gets a bit extended and the people he meets along the way teach him valuable lessons in life. He returns to Sunnydale and hits things off with Spike, shocking the girls a bit with the way his roadtrip has changed him. Very good writing and an interesting plotline. One of the best things about the fic are the Rules of Life tied into the story and the way Xander sort of grows up around them. Highly Recommended.

Second Verse by LitGal. Spike/Xander. Graphic Content. AU where Xander moved to L.A. when he was 15 and hung around Gunn and his gang. An interesting story. Dark with a lot of master/slave connotations. Not a light read but good nonetheless. Recommended.

See Me and it's prequel Not Forgotten by Suki Blue. Spike/Xander. Xander's been ignored and decides to confront Buffy and the others with the fact. A very, very good set of fiction. See Me is short, but it packs a punch. Not Forgotten is still in the works but a very riviting storyline. Characters are well done, writing is excellent. Very highly recommended.

A Simple Request by Suki Blue. Spike/Xander. Spike contemplates his relationship with Xander and effect Xander has had on his life. Very well written. Good emotion. Spike's thoughts are very well done. Recommended.

A Sunnydale Christmas Carol by Amejisuto. Spike/Xander. Spike goes through a Sunnydale style Christmas Carol, complete with three spirits. As he's forced to watch the lives of the humans surrounding him he grows appreciative of what all they've been through. An interesting, if somewhat cliché. Ending's rather cute.

They Who Doth Protest Too Much by Kaitelynn. Spike/Xander. In Progress. Spike gets fed up with Anya and Xander's relationship and leaves town. Xander gets fed up with Buffy's mistrust of Willow (who is shacked up in LA with Angel). Both end up at a certain hotel in LA. Both have admitted to having feelings for the other, just not to each other's faces. Willow, Cordelia, and Faith decide on the expedient route and lock the two in a room together. Well written, and interesting. Decently characterized, though not as dead-on as it could be. Recommended.

Truth by Spikedluv. Spike/Xander. Spike's worried when Xander goes missing. A mishap with truth serum makes Xander spill some secrets. Very amusing and cute story. Nice and sappy. Highly recommended.

An Unconventional Celebration by darkhavens. Spike/Xander. Xander celebrates an unusual anniversary. Cute and fluffy, very sweet. Highly recommended.

The Vampire's Choice by Suki Blue. Spike/Xander. Spike picks out Halloween costumes.

What's Important by Fojiao2 (deceased). Spike/Xander. Anya and Xander's family are murdered by a serial killer and Spike's left to pick up the pieces of a shattered Xander. Very well written. The action scene at the begin is wonderfully vivid, enough that you can easily picture what's going on. The entire fic stays incredibly close to life. The characterization is great, the reactions are realistic, plot moves along smoothly. All in all an excellently done piece. Highly recommended.

Watching by darkhavens. Spike/Xander. Series of seven drabbles featuring various perspectives on Spike and Xander's relationship. Highly Recommended.

Xander, Oz, and the Sometimes Vampire (May require logging in to Yahoo.) by Faith Harris. Spike/Xander. Xander travels to LA with Spike to reconnect to a lost friend, and finds a bit of himself in the journey. A very well done piece. Cute and touching, with the right amount of dark shadows to balance it all out. Highly recommended.

*New 10/2* Your Love Coming Down Like Rain by Moosesal. Spike/Xander. Graphic Content. Spike's confession of interest sends Xander running to sort out his head, only to be driven back later by a thunderstorm. Some nice emotion in this fic with a good deal of cute fluffy romance. Definitely worth reading.
