In year 11 students will do the final part of the GNVQ Part one at intermediate level which ia a nationally recognised qualification. An Intermediate Part One GNVQ is equivalent to 2 GCSE's at grades A*-C. Students that succeed on this course have a lively and enquiring mind and an interest in Information Communication Technology. It is important that they have willingness to explore new ideas and and an ability to communicate your ideas effectively. They will use IT systems to present and handle information and understand the forms and functions of software and hardware. They will plan and develop ICT based solutions. Those students that enjoy studying a subject that is relevant to their own lives and experiences will enjoy this course and the course will appeal to those that wish to develop specific ICT skills which can be used at home, in industry and in commerce.
