 INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY

In year 7 students are required to complete a set number of units. The course is split into 3 terms and 4 topics. These topics include:

      Information communication

      Modelling

      Graphics and

      The Internet

This course will give students and insight into what ICT is and will help them understand the basics in ICT. The skills they will acquire from these topics will be developed further when they move onto the GNVQ in year 9.    

Students will develop their skills in a number of areas and in the following software:

     Information communication - Microsoft Word

     Modelling - Excel

     Graphics - Paint, CorelDraw, Word

     Internet - Internet, Microsoft Word 

Students will be learning the basics on computers and will concentrate on the above units.
