- First, your therapist will have you
fill out an intake form. This form is important because it helps
to allow your therapist to tailor the massage to your needs.
- Then, your therapist will go over any
questions concerning the intake form and ask you what you expect
from the massage, what you want to achieve in this session.
- Therapeutic massage is done on a table;
the client lies between two sheets. During a massage, the use
of draping is employed. You are always covered with a sheet,
your modesty protected.
- The therapist will leave the room so
you can get ready for your session.
- A non-scented, hypoallergenic lotion
to help prevent friction is used during the massage.
