Inscription on the stone says, Corpl John T. Morris Co D 132 ILL Inf. (7) Information from Fern Robison & Pension records show birthday as 04/09/1939 in Highland County, Ohio. (8) a former CA address is shown as 1025 California Los Angees. (9) Pension records from Archives show certificate # 321931. That he entered the service on 06-01-1864 as a Private at Lewiston, IL and was discharged in Chicago, IL on 10/17/1864 having suffered sunstroke & was thereby disabled. (10) There is evidence from the pension records that he was married in CA to Anna Morris. Unknow if second wife moved to CA with him or if they were divorced or she died and he latter remarried. (11) He was married twice to Mary Childers and divorced twice.
