Ephesians 3 : 20. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or think or imagine, according to his power that is at work in us.
I enjoy people who inspire me, who help my vision. The things that limit you in what God wants you to do are small mindedness, enjoying our contentment, our not asking, our lack of imagination, our "bad news" focus. Today around 165 000 people accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour; every month 5000 or so new churches are opened. David Livingston said,'Lord I will go anywhere, as long as it is forward.'

Mistakes are simply invitations to try again.

Jesus Christ is Lord of the past; He is Lord of the present; He is Lord of the future. Dwell not on the past; be content in the present; pray for your future.

When a cyclist sets his sights on entering a race he wants to do his best. He wants to win. he will make changes in his life so that he can focus all of his attention on the race. He will make sacrifices, he will start eating the right food and drinking the right drinks so his body gets the sustenance it needs. His life will revolve around building up for the big event, and everything else will come second until he has completed the race. How much more important is the race we run! In a cycling race it is hard work and in the build up there may be injuries and punctures, etc. Our race wont be easy either, but look at the price at the end of it, eternal life with Jesus!

We can complain because the rose bushes have thorns or rejoice because the thorn bushes have roses.

All sunshine makes a desert.

Proverbs 25. 4.
Silver must be purified before it can be used to make something of value. You are silver, but unlike a lump of silver in the natural, you have life and can decide whether to be put into the purifying furnace or not. If you allow the Lord to purify you He can then make you into an object for noble purposes but if not purified, silver is useful only as a doorstop or paperweight.

1 Peter 2 : 2 says...'crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up'...
God is interested in our eating habits. He loves us and wants each of us to 'grow up' to be like Christ. This scripture tells us to 'crave pure spiritual milk'. Our prayer should be- 'Lord help me to feed on the pure milk of your word. Replace fleshly appetites with a burning desire to crave your presence and to eat only from your table.

Blessed are those who can give without remembering, and take without forgetting.

The test of good manners is being able to put up pleasantly with bad ones.

Proverbs 24 : 30-34.
I once walked by the field and the vineyard of a lazy fool. Thorns and weeds were everywhere, and the stone wall had fallen down. When I saw this it taught me a lesson: Sleep a little. Doze a little. Fold your hands and twiddle your thumbs. Suddenly poverty hits you and everything is gone!
What does this tell us?
1. Unless you work on your Christianity, thorns and weeds will pop up and your defences will crumble. 2. It's time to weed the garden and weed deep. Pull out all the weeds by the roots, so as to be a clean, tilled field ready to bear fruit in keeping with the Lords will.

The oldest, shortest words-'yes' and 'no'-are those which require the most thought.

Yesterday is experience-
Tomorrow is hope-
Today is getting from one to the other as best we can!

Have you stopped to consider what a wonderful inheritance we have in Christ? He has given us everything we need for this life and for Godliness. No matter what our situation or our need may be, God has given to us all that is Christ's so that we can live victorious and Christ-like lives in the world. So often we ( like the older prodigal son ) don't take and make use of what Jesus has made freely available to us, God's children.
