Banana Bounce

1/2 cup chopped ice (divided)
1 small ripe banana, cut
1 cup (12 ounce) chilled sugar lemon and lime soda
Grated nutmeg to taste

Place 1/4 cup ice in each 2 (10 ounce) glasses. In blender whip banana and soda until smooth. Pour equal amounts over ice in glasses. Sprinkle generously with nutmeg. Serve immediately. Makes 2 (8 ounce) servings.

Blue Mountain Milk Shake

2 cups vanilla ice cream
2 cups milk
1 cup vanilla yogurt
2 large bananas
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 drops blue food coloring

Blend all ingredients in a blender until creamy. Makes 5 servings.

Chocolate Chiller

1 (14 ounce) can Cream Chocolate Sweetened Condensed Milk (not evaporated milk)
2 ripe bananas, sliced
4 cups ice cubes

In a blender, combine all ingredients; blend until smooth. Serve immediately. Refrigerate leftovers. Makes 4-6 servings

Kauai Smoothie

2 cups ice
1 cup strawberry yogurt
1 medium banana
1 cup guava or tropical fruit juice
1/2 cup orange juice

Mix all ingredients in a blender for 1 minute on high. Makes 4 servings.

Suisse Mocha Frost

2 cups milk
1 cup Suisse Mocha or other flavor instant coffee
1 cup coffee vanilla or chocolate
Ice cream or orange sherbet

Combine mild and coffee, mix in blender container. Blend until coffee is dissolved. Add ice cream and blend until smooth. Garnish as desired. Makes 2 (12 ounce) servings.

Vermontea Cup

3 cups apple juice or apple cider
3 bags of orange and spice tea
2 tablespoons maple sugar

Bring apple juice or cider to boiling; pour over tea bags in teapot, cover. Let seep for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags. Stir in the syrup. Makes 4 servings.

Raspberry-Watermelon Fruit Smoothie

2 cups seeded Watermelon Chunks
1/2 pint raspberries
1 cup ice cubes
1 tablespoon sugar

Blend in a blender until smooth. Makes 2 servings.

Per serving: 127 calories, 2 grams protein, 31 grams carbohydrates, 1 gram fat, 0 cholesterol, 35 mg sodium.

Banana-Blueberry Fruit Smoothie

1/2 pint blueberries, rinsed
1 large, ripe banana, peeled, cut into chunks
1 ripe black or red plum (about 4 ounce) halved, pitted, cut into chunks
1/2 cup frozen vanilla yogurt
2 cups ice cubes
2 to 4 tablespoons sugar

Blend in a blender until smooth. Makes 2 servings.

Per serving: 212 calories, 4 grams protein, 50 grams carbohydrates, 1 gram fat, 3 cholesterol, 35 mg sodium.
