Where the Sidewalk EndsWhere the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein - For Pricing Click Here!

This has long been one of my all time favorite books. I remember still the first time that I checked it out of the Kankakee Public Library when I was a child, and I love it still! I was so happy to finally buy my own copy and I think every home with a child or a child at heart should have one!

Amazon's Review: Shel Silverstein shook the staid world of children's poetry in 1974 with the publication of this collection, and things haven't been the same since. More than four and a half million copies of Where the Sidewalk Ends have been sold, making it the bestselling children's poetry book ever. With this and his other poetry collections (A Light in the Attic and Falling Up), Silverstein reveals his genius for reaching kids with silly words and simple pen-and-ink drawings. What child can resist a poem called "Dancing Pants" or "The Dirtiest Man in the World"? Each of the 130 poems is funny in a different way, or touching ... or both. Some approach naughtiness or are a bit disgusting to squeamish grown-ups, but that's exactly what kids like best about Silverstein's work. Jim Trelease, author of The New Read-Aloud Handbook, calls this book "without question, the best-loved collection of poetry for children." (Ages 4 to 10)

The Book of QuestionsThe Book of Questions by Gregory Stock Ph. D. - For Pricing Click Here!

Want to get to know someone better? Or want to get in touch with your own feelings? Just ask a few questions from this book - some of the answers might shock you! My favorite question is Number 3 - "If you were to die this evening with no opportunity to communicate with anyone, what would you most regret not having told someone? Why haven't you told them yet?" (Obviously, there are no right or wrong answers - just a lot of questions!)

Amazon's Review: The Book of Questions may be the only publication that challenges and changes the way readers view the world, without offering a single opinion of its own. Posing 265 questions, The Book of Questions is bound to provoke hours and hours of thought.
