The year of 1997 was an important year for me, when my dream of "Delhi-challo" finally came true and I landed up in Delhi on 1st May. The aim of this thousand kilometer long march was to get into civil services, where I can get a chance to serve the society. But I had to change my decision looking at the investment and morever at the career uncertainty with the civil services exams.  

 Being from a lower middle class family, it was difficult for me to manage the expenses of Delhi, so I took up a part time teaching job and started preparing for probationary officer in PSBs.

Meanwhile, I found the admission notice for IBAB first batch. I found "Bioinformatics" very impressive, because it was an emerging field which has potential to answer lot of unsolved problems in Lifesciece. Finally my dormant dream of getting into Health care field once again aroused. I applied for it and got selected after rounds of written exam and interview. I would like to thank my friends and parents who always encouraged me throughout my career span. Last but not least IBAB and Astrazeneca Research Foundation, India who managed a fellowship for my study at IBAB.
