50 Cent, born Curtis Jackson in Queens, New York, has been through a lot but now it's his turn to shine. Many who are into the underground hip hop scene and mixtape scene know 50 Cent. "Yo, when is his new album coming out." "I heard it was this date I heard it was that date." These are familiar things you say. Real hip hop heads waiting for 50 Cent's highly anticipated album like a crack head to their next hit.

50 Cent was originally signed to Trackmasters/Columbia and was supposed to have his debut in 1999 with "Power of the Dollar". But it is never released and was bootlegged. He had been through arguments with producers and other rappers (Ja Rule and 50 Cent having been getting at each other).

50 was shot a couple of days before he was about to film his video fo rhis first single, "Thug Love" featuring Destiny's Child abd this was the last straw for Trackmasters. They were tired og him getting up in the streets so they relesaed from his contract. 59 was at a club in Queens and just happened to get shot it he says. It happens and they didn't understand that. 50 Cent wanted to continue with them but they didn't want to hear it. I f you brought Jennifer Lopez's remix album, the song "I'm Gonna Be Alright" features 50 Cent but for the video of the song Nas was in it. I wondered happened.

50 will be dropping his album "Get Rich or Die Trying" on February 8. Earlier because of the bootleggers. He will also do a collaboration with Tupac on a DJ Whoo Kid mixtape.
