OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS

New Sessions for June-August
I am considering having the following sessions.  Could you email me about your potential interest?
Wednesdays 8pm-11pm at Quest, Mahwah
Thursdays 8pm-11pm at the Binghamton, Edgewater
Saturdays 4pm-7pm, at the Binghamton, Edgewater (This is a new session in addition to the 8pm-12am session already scheduled.)

Thursdays at BINGHAMTON, 8pm-11pm
Many of you have provided positive feedback on the new sessions, especially the Thursdays.  Some have also said they would consider continuing in the winter season.

Friday & Saturday Night Parties
We will conduct these parties THROUGHOUT the summer with shortened hours of only 4 hours instead of 5 hours, 8pm-12am.

Weeknight Tennis Mailing List
If you would like to be on a separate emailing list for the weeknight tennis, please let me know and also indicate which nights you are interested in.

GENTLE REMINDER
As we are tennis friends, let's be cordial to one another on the court.  One very important etiquette that we often take for granted or forget - we should introduce ourselves to the players we don't know.  This will make for a wholesome experience!

As we are in mixed company at the parties, we should dress and groom ourselves properly.  Gentleman, kindly refrain from slamming the short balls at the ladies.

CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand the need to cancel at times.  We often explain to players why it's important to call and let us know if they do not plan on coming, as there are 3 players who wait for you on the court.  It would also allow the WAIT-LISTED players a chance to play.  We would appreciate your observance of the cancellation policy.

IF YOU CANCEL THE DAY OF THE PARTY, YOU MUST CALL by noon for the Sunday session and by 3pm for all other sessions to avoid a cancellation charge of $20 if the problem persists.

RECAP
SINGLES PARTY TWO WEEKS AGO
It was a very fun and busy party with many people meeting for the first time and phone numbers exchanged.  Two known couples made plans coincidentally to play on the same night Tuesday.  A total of 4 known couples have made connections.  I'd say it was a success!

LAST WEEK'S RECAP
Friday:
Another terrific Friday evening!  One of the players intended staying only a few hours but ended up closing the place again, along with the usual accomplices, among them a couple of ladies.

When asked if he had a good time, he replied - "Yes, last Friday was great....So I had some difficulties explaining to my wife how you can play tennis from 8 to 2 [2AM]...."   I told him that when I meet his wife I will let her know that her husband is in good physical condition but don't understand why he stays for only 2 hours of tennis.

Saturday:
Straight from the Airport:
A couple referred to us by a regular started coming a month ago and haven't missed a day.  Last Saturday "Lovely L," code name of the wife, flew in from Cal and a limo brought her straight to the club for 3 wonderful hours.  Even the husband, "Big T," and their friendly opponents "Big P" and "Lovely K" said they had a terrific night of tennis!

Other players who came straight from the airport include the husband of the dynamic duo of Friday night and a business woman also from the Friday night group.  Another player from Friday and Sunday groups called from the airport saying he was coming to play Friday but in the end did not come because of his flight delay.

Two good friends decided to do something active and came back to play after a 3-month hiatus.  It was wonderful to get to know them during the break, to hear of their interesting careers as an artist and a fashion designer.  One was very happy to be able to play once more before her busy wedding plans keep her away.

Sunday:
It was nice to see a very good 6-month beginner player teach a brand-new player, feeding her balls and giving tips.  This player has shown a marked improvement after only 3 weeks of play.

Please call or email me to make reservations.

Look forward to meeting old and new friends!
