Your $26 Contribution     includes:  

  1. Tennis Court Time - Playing time at least 3 Hours with breaks -
  2. Light  Food & Munchies Buffet and Soft Drinks -

  4. Play format One Hour on the Courts,  then One Hour off for break, & repeat. 

This is a great way to many new tennis players from Hoboken.  So when you want to play in the future you always know other tennis players to call.

  3. Third - The vendor will need some Info from you & your guest on your tennis background and playing level.  Please Call the Vendor directly to confirm payment receipt and level setting.  This is extremely important for last minute registrants.

The Hoboken Tennis Club will be piggy backing our party of HTC tennis players with a very well established North NJ area Tennis Party promoter, which will allow our HTC-Hoboken Tennis Club members to have the benefits of 

  1. playing at the NJ Private Club indoor courts closest to Hoboken

  2. dedicating some courts for our three play hours just for our group & so you can meet new Tennis Partners from Hoboken .

RACQUET BUFFS, Inc is our vendor for this event.  They have been organizing tennis parties in the north NJ area tennis clubs facilities and the Binghamton Tennis Center for over 25 years. We are very extremely fortunate to have RACQUET BUFFS allow the Hoboken Tennis Club to work with them and share a dedicated block of tennis player spaces at one of the their tennis parties.  We very much appreciate them being interested in developing a good working partnership with our group and our members.   

RACQUET BUFFS does a great job many of the aspects of running a quality tennis party event, including play level matching, team pairing and the refreshment munchies.  Our vendor, Racquet Buffs does set up games matching you up with a combination of players at your level of which can be lots of fun since you have a chance to meet many new tennis players.   As for the munchies, the wide assortment of healthy snacks provided by Racquet Buffs are pretty good (all included in the your $26 fee).      

Especially for our HTC group, RACQUET BUFFS will make every effort to group our Hoboken Tennis Club players together during the course of the evening, based on the each individual's playing levels.   We will be together for all the breaks off the courts, so you can meet all the other tennis players from Hoboken in order to set up your future court time. 

We don't have very many choices for indoor tennis courts in this area or for tennis party locations.  It is very generous of RACQUET BUFFS to make all the extra efforts just for the our Hoboken Tennis Club member's.   

RACQUET BUFFS, Inc. believes a sign-up method of firm RSVPs with pre-payments for guaranteed players spots is best, so in the case of an individuals No-Show or Late Show, we (The HTC members) don't let down other players.  Once they know that you will follow up with reservations, RACQUET BUFFS may event welcome you at other parties they host.  Maybe you’ve already been to a couple of RACQUET BUFFS events at the Binghamton or other locations.      

 

Here are the Reservation guidelines RACQUET BUFFS is asking us to follow -  

  1. Send Party@HobokenTennis.com   an email of attendance interest. We'll try to wait for you payment, unless we fill up and get sold out quickly.   

  2. Write RACQUET BUFFS, Inc  a $26  Pre-Payments for a reserved player spots ,  All Checks or US Postal Money orders are to made out to  RACQUET BUFFS, Inc   deadline receipt by Mon March 17th,

  3. Write a Note identifying yourself as a Hoboken Tennis Club member, along with your contact info, mailing address and phone number – RB accepts no emails 

  4. Mail your payment and note to RACQUET BUFFS, Inc  at the Guttenberg address above -

 

To be fair to everyone, the order in which Racquet Buffs receives you payments will determine whiter or not you get one of our limited player spots.  SPACES LIMITED - In order to try to fair to everyone. All spots given out on a first come first serve basis  Our events have all sold out, so we encourage you to get your checks in ASAP.  We will notify players, if they got one of our player spots on a rolling basis once per week after confirming your pre-payment received with Racquet Buffs.  Racquet Buffs will continue to make confirmations until all player spots are SOLD OUT.  

Payment receipt alone does not guarantee your player spot, since the event may be sold out by the time we get your check.  Dropping checks off at their Realty offices is the fastest way to get Racquet Buffs their pre-payment.  From experience we strongly caution you on mailing check from Manhattan due to mail screening postal delays. 

Only All payment Checks Cashed Guarantee your player spot and your fully confirmed reservation, then your submitted payment is NON- REFUNDABLE. 

Payments received after ALL Player spots are SOLDOUT will be returned. 

PREPAYMENTS -  Deadline of Monday March 24th  -  We will probably sell out before this date. Your pre-payment must be received by the deadline. Should your check bounce RACQUET BUFFS will ask you to pay all the associated bank fees and you will probably be removed from their party list.  This will allow time for your check to clear, so RACQUET BUFFS can in turn pay the Binghamton Tennis Center and the buffet refreshments vendors.

FINAL PLAYERS LIST - On Tuesday March 25th -  RACQUET BUFFS will review all Hoboken Tennis Club's member pre-payments and send us a final -  Fully Confirmed Guaranteed Spot Tennis Players List.  We will be glad to confirm your reservation at that time, via email.  Should we have a chance to confirm your payment receipt prior to Feb 18th, we'll send you an email.  

RACQUET BUFFS Contact Info – RACQUET BUFFS  only organizes tennis parties & RSVPs  via phone, mail or direct contact.  Should you need to contact them, the best way to call either the Racquet Buffs phone above or their Real Estate practice.  They DO NOT work with computers or email.   They may also need to contact you directly to better understand you play level for court time matching. 

LAST MINUTE PAYMENTS & DROP OFF PAYMENTS  - One of the RACQUET BUFFS, Inc's  principals, Mr. Marvin Furman,  is also the real estate brokerage business here in Hoboken.  As an active member of our local community, he is extending us the courtesy of allowing us to dropping off our tennis party payments at his offices.  If the office is NOT OPEN, you can put your payment through the mail slot in the door. This is a great option if you are passing by the offices in the early morning or night time hours.  To confirm receipt, Write HTC and email us to tell us you dropped off your payment at Marvin's office.  Should you need to drop off a last minute payment check before the above deadline,  you can drop off your payment with your player note, made out to -

THINGS TO PACK & BRING to the Tennis Party 

1) Your own towels 

2) Padlock for the locker room 

3) Your own water bottle for courtside play drinks 

4) Layers of tennis & workout clothes or jackets - The courts are heated, but  temperatures can vary. 

5) Optional - You're welcomed to bring you own wine or beer, but it never helps your game. 

6) Your sense of humor, sparkling repartee and killer tennis instincts

 

Binghamton Racquet Club - 737 River Rd, Edgewater. 201-945-9500 

The Binghamton has 9 Hard Surface Courts All Indoor & Climate Controlled, Rubberized, locker rooms for your changing, & showers. 

The night of the event, we need to see you early around 7:30pm .  Please be suited up ready to play to meet the other Hoboken Tennis Club Players. If you show up late, other players will be waiting for you and probably start without you.  If Racquet Buffs can get you out on the courts earlier than 8pm,  they will.      

Please Don’t forget your own 1) gym locker padlocks,  2) towels & 3) Water bottles for courtside drinks during play down on the courts .    

Caution - NO BLACK SOLED SHOES OR SNEAKERS ARE ALLOWED ON THE TENNIS COURTS AT THE BINGHAMTON –  We have been asked to require all our members to play with very light or white colored tennis sneakers.  The  facility has  All hard surface rubberized courts. Unfortunately, the facility Staff will deny you access to the courts and ask you to leave.  Sorry, should this happen your pre-paid fees will not be refunded.  

TRAVEL CAUTIONS - Even though the Binghamton Tennis Center in Edgewater is just over five miles from Hoboken, it can take an incredibly long time to get there up to 30 Minutes - All due to severe traffic congestion, road repair construction, and far too many traffic lights.   We need everyone there by at least 7:45pm suited up ready to play, so please allow additional time for this trip to the Binghamton.  

 

Directions from Hoboken – Leave Hoboken via  

Park Avenue Northbound go over the 16th St bridge. Travel 4 Lights and at the 4th traffic light make a Right Turn onto Baldwin Street - Land marks Lincoln Tunnel Admin Building on your far right & the Lincoln Tunnel Tool booths on your LEFT.  You may also see signs toward the Port Imperial Ferry Terminal follow them.      

BALDWIN ST - (Eastbound, Just One Block)  Travel approximately one city block Under the above Lincoln Tunnel Ramp and the New Light Rail Bridge under construction, then at this first intersection make your first LEFT onto River Road. Landmarks-You may see signs toward the Port Imperial Ferry.   From this intersection of Baldwin St & River Road, the Binghamton Tennis Club is 4.7 miles on your right, just look for the Binghamton signs,  but here are some more directions and landmarks.   

RIVER ROAD - (4.7 Miles)  You should be Traveling Northbound along the River Road, toward the GW Bridge, and Manhattan should be on your right.   As you travel Northbound on River Road for the 4.7 Miles , Here are the Landmarks to Look for - On your Right hand side in this order,  you’ll pass

  1. Port Imperial Ferry terminal (Weehawken)  

  2. Edgewater MultiPlex Theatre 

  3. Large Mall -  Edgewater Commons (Target, Bed Bath Beyond, & Barnes & Noble Mall) , 

  4. Golf Driving Range,  - 

  5. MITSUWA -Asian Specialty Mall,   -  Now stay in your right hand lane   

  6. HESS FUEL OIL DEPOT - You'll see large HESS fuel storage tanks & an Overhead Cross the Road Walking Pipeline bridge    - Go Slow, Just your turn is coming up few yards past this fuel depot,  

Make a hard quick Right Turn at the the signs for the MARKETPLACE SHOPPING PLAZA onto Binghamton Way and the Binghamton Mall Parking Lot complex.  Once in the shopping plaza, then make your first left toward the courts– The Binghamton Tennis Club is the Blue Building on the Northeastern side of the parking lot  across from the Binghamton River Boat Restaurant.

   * Events Notice  * -  We would please ask ALL participants to assist with our group events.  The more you help, the more fun our events will be.  Guests welcomed, the more, the merrier. 

HTC - Hoboken Tennis Club is area community based All Volunteer Members sports interest association.   HTC compliments and supports other Hoboken Area sports, social and community groups.  All HTC event organizers donate their time and pay for their own participation fees in all events.  Any group event fees that participants pay just cover the court rental fees and equipment costs.  You are just paying your own way or your fair share of your own participation costs.  Much like paying for your own dinner.  Our volunteer group's individual event organizers make zero dollars, it's all volunteer and their time is donated.  

Event Pre-payments are requested for fully confirmed guaranteed reserved player spots and are only requested so other tennis players aren't stuck with court costs, for no shows.
