Special Action Cards::Defensive
Sixty-Nine
The 69 card may be played on any 6 or any 9 (or, of course, on any yellow card). It also allows
any player holding it to play a 6 on a 9 or a 9 on a 6 regardless of color. If any player challenges
such a move, the player with the 69 card shows it, and the challenger must draw two cards. At the
end of the hand, the player holding the 69 card takes a total of 69 points, regardless of what
other cards he holds -- though that score may be affected by the , Holy Defender,
Magic Red 5, or an earlier Virus card or overridden by .
Example: Player1 discards a Blue 6. Player2 discards a Red 9. Player1 reports Player2's faux pas
and requests the removal of the Red 9. Player2 displays the 69 card from his hand. Player1, chagrined,
draws 2 cards.
Example: Player1 discards a Blue 6. Player2 discards a Red 9. Player1 decides Player2 must have the
Sixty-Nine card and says nothing. Player3 discards a Yellow 6. Player1, noting the existance of only
one Sixty-Nine card in a HDU deck, exclaims that one someone has bluffed. Since Player3 has
already gone, Player2 cannot be challenged. Player1 requests Player3 remove his card. Player3 displays
the 69 card and requires Player1 draw 2.
