Glow Bowl following June meeting at Fairmont Lanes.
|
I hope that you and your families had a safe happy summer. The executive of HRABA are all pumped up for the fall.At publication of this newsletter we have 102 members and we are still growing. As our membership expands we need more volunteers. Without that goodwill we would cease to exist.
That goodwill includes our desire to support each other and tell others to “Call On My Friend”, a new booklet being distributed during the month of September. Each booklet contains a complete list of our members with current address, phone, fax, and e-mail information. At present Cindy Davies is completing a second draft.
I want to thank all the members that have helped to put on special events, the latest being our summer social. Randy Mercer opened up the Fairmont Lanes to HRABA. Family and friends were invited to join us after our meeting to GLOW BOWL. The music was great, the automatic scoring kept us all honest, and the fun and laughter were infectious.
This Summer 16 HRABA members scored with coach and trainer George Lightfoot. His course Effective Practical Management will build the businesses in our area and make us stronger. I want to thank Richardson Access Elevator Ltd. for providing their boardroom as a classroom. This is just one more example how we’re helping out each other.
It would be great if more of us could bring a guest for our meetings. Remember the larger our membership is the more leverage we will have with government. Use your newsletter as an invitation be recycling your own after you have read it of course.
In closing I want to thank our executive for their hard work to make this a better place to do business. I would also like to thank the City of London for the new waste containers that will help make our community a better place. §
