Ana and I wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous new year. We are looking forward to new projects in the new year. One of which will be to concentrate on a marketing plan to help promote the Hamilton Road area. We know that it will centre around our heritage. This area was part of London East, old East Village the hub of the railways, the factories, for that matter Hamilton Road was a stage coach route at one time. The Grand Trunk Railway after being destroyed by fire would not rebuild without guaranteed water for fire protection. In fact it was the shortage of water to put out fires that forced London East in the 1850’s to amalgamate with London.

Young and old are titillated by stories and pictures of their heritage. We like Mark’s idea of telling our stories about our businesses.

I can visualize all of London wanting to connect with their past. We need to be able to make our past visual and reminiscent. Perhaps some of you have ideas for this. Please feel free to share your ideas and become part of something unique. That’s what we want to be… a unique shopping area or a unique place to do business. §
