The How to Wow HENNA NIHONGO list:

What is the How to Wow Henna Nihongo List anyway?

It is an email list that will try to present interesting Japanese words & phrases for the beginner and the intermediate. To that end, we will occasionally look at the following:

  • kakkoi (cool) samurai words!
  • Kanji etymological study - (dissecting kanji for fun)
  • The top 10 (or 9 depending on my laziness) of something relating to the Japanese Language
  • A look at related words or kanji to aid memorization
  • Famous phrases (from movies, books, etc.)
  • Sent out on a non-regular basis (again due to my laziness), but about once every two weeks
  • To get a feel for what it is like, take a look at some of the links to the right.

Why should I join the How to Wow Henna Nihongo List anyway?

  • Just think of the educational benefits which can be passed down from generation to generation
  • Learn strange, but useful Japanese!
  • Website update information
  • The Japanese has romaji (roman characters) after it so any computer can read it without special software (or for that matter - you can read it even if you can't read Japanese)
  • Of course I wouldn't even think of giving your address away. Your email address will never be used for any other purpose.

The Japanese is sent with Japanese characters and romaji. So even if your email program can't read Japanese characters it is ok. BUT I highly recommend finding a email program that can read Japanese Characters. I believe most modern email programs have options for seeing Japanese encoding. Sorry I can't be of great help.
