9th, April,2001 : Here the number of the Yatrees reached to around 5500 as Yatrees from other parts of India reached here too, here Refreshments were served by Savadars of the local Gurdwara Sahib. Three special trains named Sikh Special were arranged by the Pakistan govt. After Customs & Immigration formalaties, Special Trains sent by the Pakistan Govt., left for Wagha Station (the First station on the Pakistan side), with the Yatrees aboard .

The train moved very slowly and BSF Jawans on Horse back escorted the train.

The train crossed the Iron Gate & the border fence Dividing India & Pakistan, and entered the Pakistan side.

In total 15 min. time the train reached Wagha Station, where the Yatrees were received with showers of petals of Roses, and some Refreshments were served. Here circular Tickets were issued for the whole trip ( Wagha to all major Gurdwaras for the Yatra and back to Wagha) for Fare Click Here . At Wagha Station Pakistan officials kept the Passports and issued slips which acted as Passports during the stay in Pakistan. No Customs was done, the train left for Nankana Sahib.

On the way, when the train passed through some City or Village, people of all ages came out of their houses to welcome the yatrees. Young people waved in joy and elders blessed the yatrees, putting both their hands high.

People standing far away in the fields,on the rooftops or on the railway crossings waved in joy.

The train reached Nankana Sahib Station in the evening. Yatrees took what ever vehicle was avalible to reach Gurdwara Sahib. Main gate of Gurdwara sahib is very big and beautiful.

Entering the main gate in front is a huge well maintained lawn with a nice big fountain.

On the left is the sarovar, with clean water.

On the right are the rooms for the yatrees, to stay.

Just accross the lawn the huge Darshani Deorhi of Gurdwara Nankana Sahib, decorated with lights, can be seen.

Between the Darshani Deorhi and the rooms is the way to the Langar Hall where Langar is served to the pilgrims.

On entering the Darshani Deorhi right in front is the Parkash Asthan Gurdwara Nankana Sahib where the First Guru of the Sikhs, Guru Nanak Dev ji was born. Here Bani is recited the whole day during the yatra time.

Guru Granth Sahib Ji is Placed right in middle of the room. Pilgrims can go inside the room from the doors on the sides.

Adjoining the entrence of the Darshni Diodhi, there were long queues to get the room alloted. Tents were put in the lawns at the back of the rooms too, for the yatrees to spend the night.

10th April,2001 : Around noon about 50 buses were arranged to take the pilgrims to Gurdwara Sachcha Sauda Sahib (Chuharakana).

Buses started under the protection of security personnel in a convoy, No single vehicle is allowed to go alone. For Fare Click Here .

People were sitting on the roof of the buses too. After passing through the villages and waving to the people, after around 2 hours drive the yatrees reached Gurdwara Sachcha Sauda Sahib.

The Gurdwara has a huge area and a lot of flowers and plants.

The Darshani Deorhi is very big and beautiful.

Opposite the Darshani Deorhi is the Langar hall, but there was no arrangment of langar. It was bad to see that, at that place, where Guru Nanak Dev ji fed the hungry sadhus, the yatrees did not get Langar.

There were shops just out side the Gurdwara premises, all the yatrees had to go there to take refreshments. The local people were very happy to meet the yatrees, they asked about, how the people in india lived, there houses, there way of life etc. From here the buses left after around 2 hours and came back to Nankana Sahib.

On reaching Nankana Sahib some of the yatrees went to rest in their places, some took their towles and went to the sarover, some went to the Parkash Asthan to hear Bani and some went to the market, which starts just outside the Gurdwara premises.

There is no ristrictions on any body going, anywhere, anytime, within the city of Nankana Sahib.

11th April,2001 : Pilgrims went to visit other Gurdwaras within Nankana Sahib, all the Gurdwaras are quite near the Gurdwara Janam Asthan. Full Auto or Tanga takes around Rs.50/- to take around all the Gurdwaras.
