About The Poet

Some say I have a heart of gold
And feet of clay
A heart so cold and feet that run away
Others may say

I myself am not convinced
Of either side
Right my wrongs when I can
And when I can't, hide

Who's to say who's the perfect man?
Lawmakers, lawbreakers, dragon-slayers?
Give me a man who is not passion's slave
And I will hold all hell at bay

Oh, I'm lost alright
In a sea of circumstance
Past, present, pray
Tell me, did I miss the dance?

Got blue shoes for crying
Blue skies for smiling
Raindrops when I urinate
And the number two's piling

Still, I love this life
Though it's been mean to me
Dazed and confused
Think I'll climb a birch tree

That would be good both coming and going
Said a poet much better than me.
