Apples in Stereo, The

Key Links: Apples in Stereo main-man Robert Schneider also released a very nice solo album of early 'bedroom' recordings (calling himself The Marbles) in 1997 entitled "Pyramid Landing (& Other Favorites). Amongst other things, Mr. Schneider also contributed to albums by The Olivia Tremor Control and Neutral Milk Hotel.
Barlow, Lou / Sentridoh
Key Works: "A Collection of Home Recordings" (1993); "Lou Barlow and His Sentridoh" (1994); "Lou Barlow Plays Waterfront" (1995).
Key Links: Lou 'began' with J. Mascis in Dinosaur Jr. and then went on to front the seminal indie band Sebadoh, and also formed Folk Implosion with buddie John Davis.
Beat Happening

Key Links: K Records boss and Beat Happening lead singer Calvin Johnson teamed up with Built to Spill front-man Doug Martsch to release three albums as The Halo Benders between 1994 and 1998.

BMX Bandits
Key Works:"Star Wars" (1991); "Gettin' Dirty"(1995); "Theme Park" (1997).
Key Links: Some important bands that have included full-time and/or part-time members of the BMX Bandits have been Teenage Fanclub, Eugenius, Radio Sweethearts, Cheeky Monkey and Speedboat. Bandit Duglas T. Stewart (the man with the fozzie-bear voice) also released a curious solo album("Frankenstein") in 1996.
Brian Jonestown Massacre, The
Key Works: "Thank God for Mental Illness" (1996); "Give it Back!"(1997); "Strung Out in Heaven"(1998).
Key Links: BJM-guitarist Jeff Davies is a member of Smallstone, who released their self-titled debut album in 2000. Legendary BJM leader Anton Newcombe also helped out on a couple of tracks.

Davies, Richard

Key Links: Davies led the Australian cult band The Moles who released, most
notably, the album "Instinct" in 1992. He also partnered singer-songwriter Eric Matthews under the name Cardinal for a one-off, brilliant self-titled album in

Forster, Robert

Key Links: Forster is, of course, a founding and surviving member of the
legendary Australian combo The Go-Betweens who returned in 2000 (after a 12-year hiatus) with the superb "Friends of Rachel Worth".
Fountains of Wayne

Key Links: Adam Schlesinger, who is one-half of the Fountains of Wayne
