JF's 100 Key Artists of the 1990's

This section lists 100 artists (in alphabetical order) that defined our musical landscape during the 1990's. From the Brian Jonestown Massacre to Pavement to Teenage Fanclub to Uncle Tupelo, these were the performers that we connected with the most. These were the artists that we tried to force (more unsuccessfully than not!) down our friends' throats. These were the artists we loved one minute and loathed the next and vice versa. Most importantly, these were the artists that made life - amidst all the drudgery - just that little bit more bearable. Please Note: The key works and key links listed under each artist apply to 1990's releases only. Also important to note is that the key links are by no means definitive.
