The Green Lantern Corps
was a galactic peacekeeping force formed by a blue-skinned hyper- intelligent race calling
themselves the Guardians of the Universe. Each sector of space was assigned an agent who
patrolled using a power ring that responded directly to its wielder's willpower. Recently,
the Green Lantern of Earth's sector, Hal Jordan, went mad, killed the Guardians and Green
Lanterns, took all the rings for himself, and destroyed the main power battery on the
Guardians' planet Oa. The last remaining Guardian formed a ring that would work without
the main battery and went to Earth in search of someone to become the last Green Lantern.
Short on time, he chose artist Kyle Rayner, then disappeared. Kyle found himself wielding
the "most powerful weapon in the universe," a ring which can form any object he
can think of - and being an artist, he has quite an imagination! The last Green Lantern
has proven himself on his own, in the Titans, and now in the Justice League.

RELATIONS WITH THE CORE
MEMBERS:
Superman - Kyle feels that hanging around Superman is like hanging around his
legendary idol as a kid.
Wonder Woman - Kyle has always pretty much been ga-ga over Wonder Woman, and now he
has to work with her. This puts him in awkward positions at times!
Flash - Wally is the person that Kyle relates the most with -- that's probably why
he hangs out with him so much. If there's anyone Kyle needs to complain to or just act
like an idiot around, Flash is the guy.
Batman - Not much speaking to Batman takes place with Kyle. Why? One word: FRIGHT!
Aquaman - Green Lantern likes to talk to Aquaman as just another one of the guys.
Aquaman doesn't appreciate being talked to like this by a newbie, and this creates a
little bit of tension.
Martian Manhunter - He appreciates the training that J'onn has given him, but
sometimes he wants to get a little break and wants J'onn off his back.
