29/04/06: Bad news from Estoril :(. Magüi has lost to Conchita Martínez Granados by 6-3 and 7-5. Let's hope that she is luckier in the next tournament. ¡¡VAMOS!!.

28/04/06: The qualifying draw in Estoril has already been released and Magüi hasn't been too lucky, as she'll play the seed number 1, the Spaniard Conchita Martínez Granados, in the first round. This match will be played tomorrow from 10 h, local time. ¡¡VAMOS MAGÜI!!

25/04/06: After some weeks of absence, Magüi returns to the competition next weekend, where she'll play the qualifying in Estoril (Portugal). This tournament will bring Magüi good memories, as she has won it twice. Let's see if she can do well there this year. GOOD LUCK!!

10/04/06: Next Magüi's tournament will be in Estoril (Portugal), where Magüi has received a Wild Card to play the qualifying rounds. This tournament is played on clay and will start the 29th of April. Let's see if Magüi can do well. ¡¡VAMOS!!.

20/03/06: Magüi has received a Wild Card to play the qualifying in the tournament in Estoril (Portugal), which she won two years in a row and that this year is played during the first week of May.

14/03/06: Bad news, this week Magüi hasn't been lucky and has lost in the first round to Carla Suárez by 6-3 and 6-2:(.

11/03/06: Bad news, Magüi hasn't been able to get a title in her hometown. She has lost to Rezai by 6-4 and 6-1. Anyway, Magüi has done a good tournament in her comeback to the courts. Next week she plays in Fuerteventura, on hard court, let's see if she can do well. Come on!

10/03/06: Magüi in the final!. Magüi has qualified for the final of the tournament in Gran Canaria after defeating the Belgian Flipkens by 7-5 and 6-2. Congratulations!. Tomorrow she'll play the Frenchwoman Aravane Rezai in the final from 12 h, local time. Good luck! :)

08/03/06: Good news!. Magüi has defeated Vanessa Henke by 3-6, 6-0 and 6-4. Magüi has worked really hard to get this win, as she was behind also in the third match. In the quarterfinals she'll play tomorrow from 17 h the Dutch Chayanne Ewijk, another of the Wild Cards of the tournament. Good luck!.

07/03/06:Good news! :). Magüi has defeated the German Priachin by 6-4 and 6-4 in the first round of the tournament in Gran Canaria. She'll play the German Vanessa Henke, seed number 6, in the next round. The match will be tomorrow at 17 h. Good luck!.

03/03/06: Next Monday starts the main draw of the tournament Gran Canaria II Ciudad de Telde, in which Magüi has got a Wild Card and which means her comeback to the courts after an absence of 11 months due to an injury in her left shoulder. This tournament is played on clay. Let's see if Magüi is lucky and can do well. ¡¡VAMOS!!.

28/02/06: Magüi and Carlos Calle have won the 4th Open de Pádel Tropical in the mixed category after defeating Teresa Navarro and Nauzet Guedes in the final by 6-1, 4-6 and 6-2.

24/02/06: Magüi continues playing paddle tennis tournaments in the Canary Islands. Now she is playing the IV Open de Pádel Tropical at the Club La Calzada, where she is in the semifinals of the mixed tournament partnering Carlos Calle.

20/02/06: After 11 months without playing a tournament due to an injury that has been bothering her for a long time, Magüi will make her debut in the tournament in Gran Canaria, a $25,000 ITF tournament that is played at the Cortijo Club de Campo, in Telde, the club where Magüi trains when she is in the Canary Islands. This tournament will start on the 6th of March and will be played on clay. Let's see if Magüi can have a good start. From here we wish her a good comeback and transmit her the support from many fans that are looking forward to her comeback. ¡VAMOS MAGÜI! :):).

18/02/06: Good news. It's already confirmed that Magüi's comeback will be during the week of the 6th of March in the $25,000 ITF tournament in Gran Canaria and she'll also play the following week in Fuerteventura. She got a Wild Card for both tournaments. I hope that the fans that live in the Canary Islands can go to see her play, it's now more than ever when she needs their support:). ¡¡VAMOS!!.

07/02/06: Although Magüi is looking forward to playing, she has decided to postpone her comeback in order to finish her preparation. For the moment it isn't confirmed her presence in any tournament, but it's possible that she plays some of the ITF tournaments that will be played in the Canary Islands in the next weeks. She has also asked for a Wild Card for the main draw of the tournament in Estoril (Portugal), which she has won twice, so let's see if she gets it. As soon as there's a confirmed tournament I'll put it here on the site.

05/02/06: Well, it was expected that Magüi would come back in Sunderland, but Sunderland's qualifying draw has been released and Magüi isn't in it :(

03/02/06: Last weekend Magüi won together with Carlos Calle a mixed paddle tennis tournament in her region, the 4º Open Félix Santiago Melián, winning in the final at El Mar Pádel Club de La Garita by 6-4 and 6-3. It seems that Magüi is quite good at paddle tennis! ;).
