Animals are able to stay in the shelter
waiting for adoption as long as they stay mentally and physically healthy,
and we have the staff, volunteers, and space to house and care for them
properly. We rely on donations to feed the animals and purchase extras for the care and comfort of the animals.
There are many reasons animals were
surrendered to the shelter by their owners. These include behavior
problems, moving, no time or money for pet, health of pet, allergies to
pet, tired/bored of the animal, pet is too big, or the pet cannot be
housebroken.
