with their six oldest children and Agnes' parents, James and Elizabeth Miller.

Elderslie Manse
Alexander and Agnes were married at Elderslie Manse,
adjacent to the fairly recently erected "Sir William Wallace Church"
(1840 at a cost of £1600). The Manse was built in 1850.
By 1864 the church was known as Elderslie Parish Church.
The minister on the marriage certificate was the Rev. David Reston.
The Rev. Reston was ordained in 1826 and remained at Elderslie until 1877.
His wife, Margaret Reston was a witness, to their marriage, along with
Alexander Greer, son-in-law of Agnes.

In 1881, Alexander McNabb was listed as a Coal Miner
and he resided at Cartside Road, Kilbarchan, Renfrewshire,
with his wife, Agnes, and their son, William.

5 Agnes Miller:

Agnes was the daughter of James Miller and Elizabeth Robertson.
She was born in Lochwinnoch, Renfrewshire in 1821.

Before Agnes Miller married Alexander McNabb,
she married William Clark
on January 21, 1837 in Neilston, Renfrewshire.
They had a daughter,
Elizabeth Clark, on December 11, 1838 in Neilston.

Jane was the daughter of John Faulds and Agnes Scott.
She was born in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland
on January 13, 1818.
