Who We Are
We
are Seventh-day Adventists. Our
name tells a great deal about us. The "Seventh-day"
indicates that we believe the 4th commandment states that
we are to worship on the seventh day (Saturday). The "Adventist"
part indicates that we believe in the Lord's Second coming
or Advent. We also believe the entire Bible was inspired from
God. "All Scripture is God-breathed and useful for teaching,
rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness."

 The
Bible is the world's best-selling book. In 2003, 432 million
Bibles or Scripture portions were printed by Bible societies
internationally. The Bible is now translated in more than 2,200
languages with new language editions. The Scripture has a universal
appeal. Young and old are inspired by its hopeful words. The
educated and the uneducated are changed by its message of salvation.
Rich and poor alike are uplifted by its encouraging vision of
new heavens and a new earth. It speaks to the hearts of men
and women of all ethnic groups, all cultures, and all ages.
