individuals gave to aviation.
Dale Eden Dale Eden, born March 4, 1920, demonstrated an aptitude for automotive mechanical skills early in life. During World War II, Dale served as an apprentice aviation mechanic servicing PT-17, PT-19 and PT-22 aircraft used for primary pilot flight training in Bylthe, California. Following the war, Dale became a licensed aircraft mechanic servicing general aviation aircraft. Dale was employed as an aircraft mechanic for American Airlines in 1947. During his career, American Airlines offered Dale the opportunity to upgrade to the position of professional flight engineer. His career included flight operations in Douglas DC-6, DC-7, DC-10, Boeing B-727, B-707 and B-747 aircraft. After
completing thirty-seven years of dedicated airline service, Dale retired and
continues to share his good fortune with his wife, Mary Elizabeth.
Dale’s professionalism, coupled with his honesty and integrity,
establish a standard difficult to match. Bob Campbell
In memory of Captain Robert Campbell, November 21, 1953 - March 12, 1999. Bob entered into aviation in 1980, during his college years. He was employed with Merrimac Airline, Precision Airlines and later with R.J. Reynolds as a corporate pilot. Piedmont
Airlines employed Bob in 1984. Piedmont
eventually merged with US Air and later was renamed US Airways.
Bob served the line pilots as a check airman and flight manager.
His career included flight operations in Boeing B-727, Fokker F-28, F-100
and Airbus A 319 aircraft. Bob
loved aviation, however, in June of 1996, he married the true love of his life,
Vicki. During the summer of 1996,
Bob was diagnosed with a cancer known as melanoma.
During the two years and nine months that followed the diagnosis, Bob
showed more courage and strength than words can describe.
He was never afraid of the disease he so bravely battled. Bob
fought the good fight and in many ways he won.
He had the courage to beat cancer and, even though the disease took his
life, his friends and family know he ultimately won the battle.
His humor, dedication to professionalism and integrity will be long
remembered by his associates. Bob shared the best part of his life with his wife, Vicki. Applicant’s
