For your own enjoyment and that of others please try and stick to these guidelines at all times. Follow these rules and policies and you'll keep the gods happy (as well as keeping your characters!)

The Main Rules:
1) Please adhere to 'help mudhole'. Eg. Treat others in a civilised manner.
2) Do not reveal private information such as player alts, real names, etc.
3) No scripts/bots (except stance/magic training), password sharing, hacking or multiplaying.
4) No spamming, swearing on public channels (or masking of it).
5) Please accept the immortals' decisions and abide by them without arguement.
6) Play fair. No blocking the Temple Altar/Newbie Arena with wards/walls. Do not victimise other players. No dubious character advancement.

Other rules:
1) The mud language is English, please speak using it.
2) Try to ignore people who are being offensive, we will deal with them.
3) No advertising of other muds.

Also refer to help mudhole, policy, multiplay, public, dubious, punish (all on the mud).

Respect the imms and we will respect you.

Multiplaying is allowed, but you cannot have both players logged in at the same time, or for that matter assist in pkills.

Exp botting is banned, spell/weapon/stance botting allowed.

Personal and racial abuse of players is frowned upon, if anyone is abusive to you either racially or personally, please inform an imm immediately and a suitable punishment will be handed out to the player.

You may not advertise other muds here, other places dont allow you to advertise so why should we. (Punishment - Silence for a time decided by the imm who silenced.)

If any Imm tells you to do something you do it, no questions asked.
An Implementors word is law!

Swearing/Cussing on public channels IS NOT ALLOWED!

I am getting tired of people not listening to my High Judges, Judges and Enforcers, you continue to disrespect them then you have no reason to play here and will be denied for an undetermined time!.

It has also become necessary to include the guidelines of the Machine that hosts God Wars: The Apocalypse. Please read these as EVERYONE playing/running the mud has to adhere to these rules.

Code of Practice

Given that Mudhole now hosts a number of systems, such as Muds it has become necessary to set out a Code of Practice for both those who use and also those who administer these systems on Mudhole. If you have any complaints about the systems running on this machine email admin with the details, and we will try and deal with them.

All users will:
Not hack or attack ANY system either on Mudhole or external.
Treat others connected in a civilised manner.
Refrain from the use of offensive language.
Ensure that their character is used by themselves only. You will be held responsible for all actions of your character.
Read the Message of the Day (MOTD) on connection and adhere to any instruction therein.
Follow instructions given by any of the system's admin, including requests to exit.
Follow Mudhole's AUP (which can be read by entering rules at the prompt.)
Remember, use of these systems is a privilege, not a right.

All systems admin will, in addition to the above:
Forward any general queries or problems that they cannot deal with to the admin account by email to admin@mudhole.spodnet.uk.com.
Use any privileges assigned to them in a sensible, adult manner, and only as an aid to smooth and fair running of the system. Banning a user or a site as a last resort where a user is contravening the Code of Practice.
Keep complaints and/or greviances concerning users to those who are directly involved unless specifically told otherwise by the parties concerned.
Maintain a civil tongue at all times unless engaged in a private conversation.
Listen to all possible sides of a dispute amongst users before attempting to resolve the situation. If no resolution that is acceptable to all users involved can be found, then the admin are obliged to refer the situation on to the admin account.
Explain their actions to any user upon request.
