The Not Heroes
Man, these guys are not worthy of the title--ever seen an anime/manga where the "hero" was the most objectionable character? Here, the guys are just so useless, you gotta wonder...
Not Quite Standard Disclaimer:
The images here were gleaned from many different sites...In some cases I had to chop him out of a bigger picture, brighten the image itself--anything to get HIS solo mug up there. If I'm using your image and you don't like what I've done to it, tell me about it and I'll take it out. Remember: all images here belong solely to their creators.
All guys are plugged in ALPHABETICALLY per page, and in the order I received the suggestions.
Hercule Satan from the series Dragonball Z
SD Yoshi Blue says: He's some kind of world-champion wrestler and everyone thinks he's one hell of a big shot, especially after he convinced the media that he killed Cell and saved the world (but we all know better ^_~). But besides being dishonest and really full of himself he's also ridiculously ugly and a major coward. Okay, he "helps" Goku and co. a few times, but that hardly counts. No wonder his daughter, Videl turned out to be such a pest.
Ichiyo Hikaru/Rick Hunter from the series Macross/Robotech
(He didn't leave a name) says: He fully deserves Lin Minmei, because they are both so whiney. He has about as much spine as a Jellyfish, and he's so wishy-washy. I doubt he can decide what to wear every day if he wasn't required to wear his uniform. You also wonder about the commanders of SDF1's intelligence because they actually put him as Battle squadron leader instead of Max Sterling, who's a much better pilot than he ever will be.
Hero material, he seldom displays... Yeah, that's him. I totally agree with the bit about Max Sterling, one of my faves. He was TONS better than Rick, in every way that counts.
Tuxedo Mask from the series Sailormoon/R/S/SS/Stars
Andrael says: I realize that he's counted among your "Men of Power", but I think it's important for people to look at the other side of the coin once in a while. Besides, of all anime men, this guy annoys me the most. Why?
1) His powers are pathetic: he throws a rose. That's it. Sometimes he jumps down and twirls his little cane. And everybody's supposed to be sooooo impressed because he's this daaark mysterious hunk. Right.
2) He's not nearly as affectionate with Usagi as he ought to be, considering that she worships the ground he walks on.
3) He's supposed to have no family and no memory of his past, right? So why the hell is he so rich? He has a great apartment, an expensive car, a motorcycle... and he's only a college student. Where did these pots and pots of money come from? Apparently from the same magical, mysterious place he gets all those dumb roses.
4) He has no personality! All he does is hang around looking pretty! With his weakness of character, it's no wonder he's such an easy target for brainwashing. And, hmmm... "Ohhh, I dreamed that something bad will happen to Usagi if I stay with her I'd better dump her!" Brilliant, eh?
5) That theme music that starts up whenever he appears, which just screams, "Look at me! I'm a guy in a tuxedo, standing on top of a building! And I've just thrown a rose! BooHAHAHAHA!"
6) His speeches -- even more presumptuous than his theme music.
7) He actually seems to enjoy being in Chibi-Usa's company.
8) And worst of all -- HIS TOP HAT. The way it... sticks up like that. It boggles my mind that he could ever be considered well-dressed while wearing that... thing. Ever seen his transformation sequence? Yeah.
Oh, this write-up is RICH! I was laughing all the way!
