THE LEADING MEN OF ANIME

The Leading Men of Anime is dedicated to all the gorgeous hunks that permeate Anime. Japanimation (as it is also known) seems tailormade for male viewers--on the surface. However, as these pages prove, there is plenty for us girls to drool about.

Thanks in part to my sister for her help in the site's beginnings (for an explanation of the system, jump here) but mostly to all of you who took the time to fill in my submissions form, The Leading Men of Anime has grown in leaps and bounds!

As if I didn't have enough to do maintaining this website and replying to all the mail I get, I've also started my own webring--those of you who've been here before won't be surprised that I'm the proud ringmaster of Chichiri's Webring No Da!--drop by to join, see the ring index and more!

There are seven categories into which the Leading Men are categorized; I put only five Leading Men on each page to make the load-time shorter...unless of course there was going to be only one guy on the new page, in which case I stuffed him in with the rest rather than starting a whole new one.

The Men of Power are just that: the most powerful, desirable, the
"I-knew-at-the-first-glance-he-was-it!" type of guy.
These guys are the undisputed hunks of anime, and everyone knows it.

Some of the Leading Men need to be looked at twice, three times or more
before they worm their way into your heart. Usually, some spectacular event/attitude/power
or even line brings him to the viewer's attention, then they're (eventually) forever loved.

A girl's greatest fear is that her parti will not be liked by her friends, family, name it.
These Leading Men are so darned perfect, your mother will do the proposing...

Face it--some of the more memorable Leading Men aren't even human.
There's something about these semi-human characters that makes them if not desirable, then well loved.

Ahhh--those absolutely delicious "bad boys" of anime--
in some cases, they're better than the so-called "heroes" of the story.
Some leading characters are so stupid, you're rooting for the bad guys to win!

The One Shot Wonders suffer from anime under-exposure:
we can't get enough of them but there simply isn't enough of them.
They only show up in one episode, one movie, a few frames
whatever--but it wasn't enough, not by a long shot!.
