Designed and Developed a "PC Based EPROM programmer".
This project was pursued as part of the B.E. curriculum. The idea was to program EPROMs using user-friendly screens on a PC. The hardware part of this project was implemented on an add-on card, while the menu driven software was written in Turbo C. The EPROM programmer was built to program data into and read data from 27XXX series of EPROM's. Various other facilities were also provided by this system. These included storing and reading data from a file, editing the contents of a buffer, filling a part of the buffer with a given data, moving data to different location within the buffer, verifying contents of the EPROM, checking for a blank EPROM, etc.
