Boxing / Wrestling / Judo / Fencing
Most boxing injuries are to the face and head, with concussion a constant danger. Protective gear must be worn at all times; and boxers are forced to rest after a knockout to minimize chance of becoming "punch drunk" -- a form of irreversible brain damage. Blows to the eye can detach retina. Wrestling and judo can lead to shoulder separation, fractures to ribs, collarbone, fingers and toes. Can also lead to tennis elbow and torn ligaments. In fencing, faulty equipment can lead to injuries.
