Aerobics have lead to an increase in heart attack in women, who launch too quickly in over strenuous activities. In gymnastics, injuries include sway back elbow (lax ligaments leading to unstable joint), back injuries caused by hyperextension. Bad technique is usually the route to injury in weight lifting. Hernia, bicep strain, shoulder separation and chest wall pain are hazards of overdoing bench presses.
