Agencies

There are many agencies throughout New York City that can be of assistance to you and your child.  To learn more about them, you can click on the appropriate link that you desire.  In addition, you may speak to your child's Transition Linkage Coordinator (TLC).

VESID is one agency that plays a prominent role in your child's transition from high school to college and career.  VESID is a New York State Education agency.  To find out more about the Queens VESID office, you can visit its web site or speak to the TLC in your child's high school.

Provides health and fitness activities adapted for all levels of mobility and disabilities.  The pool has a lift for complete accessibility.  The computer skills training and career exploration facilities available provide computers that are adapted for members with visual impairments.
